Jacopo Gallelli has been the first and only (until now) European angler to take part in the Bassmaster Classic and also to win a Pro tournament in the USA.
His career has distant origins, since he caught, when he was a kid, the first fish and told his father that this would become his job.
He continued in his pursuit by making fishing his irresistible passion, experimenting all the possible techniques, fly fishing included, until the age of 14, when he decided to devote himself to bass fishing only.
He soon started cooperating with important tackle stores in his hometown (Florence, Italy) and competing in Bass Fishing tournaments around Italy with very good results.
In a few years he became the most known and promising angler in Italy, getting him active roles in Fishing magazines and TV shows around the country.

Between 2017 and 2019 he won the most important competitions in Italy such as the Fipsas/MLF Championship and the Italy Bass Nation Championship. He also competed with the national team in the Fipsed World Championship in South Africa and qualified for the most important bass fishing competition in the world: the Bassmaster Classic. This was an unprecedented result for an european angler, and it allowed Jacopo to start the hard professional bassman career. He moved to the USA to compete in the major competitions in the country and in the world. Since then he has battled against the best anglers in the USA while cooperating with many important fishing brands.
In June 2021 on the Potomac River he won his first professional tournament getting his place in the history of bass fishing. In 2021 he also obtained another incredible result such as a second place finish at the Bass Pro Tour event on Lake Champlain where only an engine failure was able to stop his will to succeed. During the event he was streamed live for 4 consecutive days hugely increasing his popularity among American bass fishing fans. He’s now traveling across the country towing his bass boat, living his childhood dream and challenging himself on a daily basis because he knows the best has yet to come.
