After the difficult years of the pandemic, Jacopo was able to continue his professional experience finally in the company of his wife Federica and faithful Jago.
For 2023 Jacopo has thus planned a course through a very intense series of competitive events that will lead him to travel thousands of miles here and there across america.
It will therefore be a question of tackling 4 different circuits, such as 6 of the MLF Tackle Warehouse Invitational, 6 of the MLF Toyota Series, 6 of the MLF Bass Fishing League and 1 of the Bassmaster Open for a total of 19 tournaments.
Jacopo’s primary seasonal goal is to be selected for the 2024 Pro Tour which, for example, is accessed by the top 8 finishers from this year’s Tackle Warehouse Invitational circuit. But obviously winning a competition, like in 2021 on the Potomac river, would still be a tremendous achievement.
At the moment, after two events, Jacopo is 19th in the general classification with 328 points and the multi-champion Jacob Weeler is in 8th place with 357 points. There are still 4 events left of the Tackle Warehouse Invitational, so anything is possible.
In choosing the competition locations, the “familiarity” that Jacopo has with some places rather than with others counted a lot. Obviously without being able to say that I know them well, but sufficiently to be able to hope for a good catch.
The Potomac, where in fact he has already won, the Okeechobee where there is always a lot of large fish and the Mississippi which he can tackle with techniques he prefers.
